It’s a big Top Notch Holiday weekend. Last night was the final monthly party at Zubar. Keep your eyes peeled for some one off TN happenings around Dallas as well as the All Ages Top Notch starting next Saturday at The Loft. Tonight it goes down in the H. The Homie Morsy will be rocking with us and Nanachill will be in full effect mode. Come sweat of those extra lbs. you stacked on this week!
I stopped by the house of one Cokni O’ Dire today. Cokni was hanging in his studio ripping vinyl for a compilation he is putting together for his mailman. Cokni is one of the most humble cats I know, not to mention a Hip Hop historian, beast on the microphone, turntables AND he even has handstyles. He has a tag riding on Special Ed’s first album cover! How many people can say that? Mr. O’ Dire is an interesting guy to say the least and I plan on sitting down with him in the near future to talk shop. Tomorrow I will be flying out to Corpus to kick off the first of many Top Notch parties to follow. The always thorough Vendetta family booked me and threw this all together.
