Hold Yuh Shutter Blend

The Hold Yuh Shutter blend came from a mixtape session Prince Klassen and I had when he recently visited Dallas for his Dope On Plastic set. Once we got about 20 minutes in to the mix we concocted this blend for the project. We decided to release the blend on it’s own for our Dj homies and anyone else that would like to put it to use. Keep your ears to the streets/ web for the mixtape dropping soon. Enjoy!

Dj Excel / How We Do Mix

Last month my good friend Excel came through and rocked both Dallas and Houston Top Notch parties. Before the TX tour we discussed him knocking out a mix for the little tour/visit. I thought it would be cool if he did a Southern mix and added his flavor to the tape. He did just that. The track listing is on point and the cuts, drops and mixing are all too Crunk! Certain points of the mix made me want to stage dive, punch something and start drinking…all while I was in my car. Big shout to Excel for executing the mix and a big shout to Kiddrae for the cover art, dope as always. The link has been posted below. Get it!

Dope On Plastic / Cinco

Thanks to the consistent crowd that has been showing up to Dope On Plastic over the last few months. This event is always a whole lot of fun for me. I get to rummage through my collection and bust out some tunes that I haven’t heard in a minute, forgot about, or even forgot I owned. Next month’s Dope On Plastic is going down on November 13th and I am super stoked on this one. Houston’s own Dj Sun will be joining me. This dude is the perfect fit for an all vinyl night because he doesn’t even own Serato! Plus, he is dropping a new series of 7″ releases right before his trip to the D. Product y’all! I also have a few other special parties brewing as well as another all ages throw down. Hope to see you there.

Excel / Top Notch Tejas

What can I say? This weekend was a blast. My dude Excel from Philly came through and wrecked both Dallas and Houston. If you were there, you witnessed the skills. If not, I have a little surprise for you. We recorded last night’s set from Boondocks and uploaded it below. Also, keep an eye out for the all Southern mix “How We Do” going up soon. Awwwready!

Pop Lock And Drop It

This looks to be a busy weekend. I am working on a few new shirts that I will be releasing at Red’s Pop Shop this Saturday. Me and several of the Dallas Homies will have booth spaces. Swing through and support the locals! I will also be spinning some tunes at Good Records (next door) post Pop Shop festivities. More info below.

Via Red On Greenville
Coming soon to a location on Lower Greenville, one of the season’s most secretly anticipated events, an amalgamation of Dallas’s foremost taste-makers, an explosion of culture, retail experience, where art and design get fresh…RED’S POP SHOP. Temporarily popping next door to Watel’s World Piece Cafe for an entirety of four days during the last two weekends in September and co-curated by yours truly and Brian Gibb of The Public Trust, Red’s Pop Shop will feature Decade, Fur Face Boy, Lilco Letterpress, The Public Trust, and WE ARE 1976 and more! The exquisite extravaganza is brought to you with the intention of providing an accessible platform for individuals to view an array of homegrown talent while supporting the Lower Greenville area. More to come in the way of vendors and the kickoff part will take place the night of September 18th at Good Records. In the meantime, spread the word! A great big special thanks to The Dallas Observer for providing media sponsorship!
